On the 14th of April, Dotka Data from Apeldoorn launched a very succesful campaign in close cooperation with Dutch National newspaper 'Algemeen Dagblad'. This campaign enables readers to obtain historic aerial photographs showing their own neighbourhood, now and 50 years ago.
Dotka Data has now also launched their own webshop: Dotka.nl. Visitors can instantly find and order historic photographs and maps, of any place in the Netherlands: their own neighbourhood, the house they were born, or any other site. Depending on the area, more than 30 different products can be found and ordered.
The data available in the webshop, around 50 Terabyte, are managed and served by ERDAS APOLLO Advantage. With this webshop, ERDAS APOLLO once again proves its power where it comes to efficiently managing and serving enormous amounts of geographic data.
