ERDAS Engine is a product that enables users to increase their process capacity in complex calculations. Thanks to ERDAS Engine, processes can be distributed over multiple machines and cores, dramatically decreasing the amount of time needed to complete a process, without the need for extra licenses of the base product. This makes ERDAS Engine a cost effective way of increasing the throughput of your organization.
ERDAS IMAGINE and ERDAS LPS can execute up to 4 processes simultaneously. Eacht ERDAS Engine license adds 4 extra processes. This way, you can rapidly increase your process capacity.
ERDAS Engine works for processes executed from ERDAS IMAGINE and ERDAS LPS. This product does not have it's own user interface and cannot be used without either ERDAS IMAGINE or LPS installed.
