Change Detection

Change Detection

There is an increase in the use of aerial photographs and satelite images when it comes to tracking geographical changes. By comparing two images of the same area, taken at different times, it's possible to detect changes over time. With the increased availability of images it's now possible to detect those changes digitally. Imagem offers a number of solutions to detect changes:

Historical mutations
Our partner company Dotka Data can offer aerial photographs from the early 1930's until now. These time series of aerial photographs prove to be a powerful aid in a number of areas, such as:

  • archeological research
  • solving legal disputes
  • inspection of building activities, old foundations, subdued ditches
  • planned acquisitions
  • urban development and zonal planning
  • soil sanitation projects

Recent changes
These days, it's easy to acquire recent aerial photographs that are frequently updated. This makes it possible to detect changes digitally, as part of building administration, road and waterway maintenance or vegetation monitoring. Change data has become more reliable and changes can be detected faster and cheaper.

Imagem offers a number of modules for change detection. They form a helpful tool in new construction areas, maintenance in large organisations like Schiphol airport, granting building permits and determining property value for municipalities.

Onze module IMAGINE DeltaCue helps you to quickly detect changes and visualize those changes.
With our moduleStereo Analyst you can easily update, visualise and check your data in 3D.
