ERDAS APOLLO offers on-the-fly geoprocessing through a powerful implementation of the OGC Web Processing Service (WPS) specification.  The workflow is designed so that end-users are enabled to execute robust and complex geoprocesses with very little domain knowledge.  An end user can run an entire model, such as change detection, site analysis or elevation change, completely contained within a single Web Processing Service (WPS).   ERDAS APOLLO Professional fully integrates ERDAS APOLLO Advantage and ERDAS APOLLO Essentials - SDI.

Multiply Your Data Value with Geoprocessing

ERDAS APOLLO Professional provides on-the-fly geoprocessing of gridded geospatial data managed in your APOLLO deployment. Create spatial models with ERDAS IMAGINE 2010 to publish them to the APOLLO WPS. Access security is managed per user role with the APOLLO Data Manager. Once published, the geoprocesses are accessible and executable by consumer users, on demand, from 2D and 3D clients. 

The spatial model maker creates human readable titles and default values for input parameters, plus predefines a catalog query that automatically proposes valid data inputs to the end-users. The end-user simply inputs data and remaining values and monitors progress until complete. 
Spatial models are executed server-side where the input data resides, saving bandwidth, time and disk space.  Process outputs are immediately cataloged for discovery by others and can be potentially used again in subsequent geoprocesses.

Be INSPIRE-ready with the HMA component!

New in APOLLO 2011 is the Heterogeneous Missions Accessibility Component (HMA), which is part of the APOLLO Professional package. This component ensures storage and retrievability of metadata following the OGC CS-W ebRIM profile, complying to INSPIRE directives and the HMA requirements.

This component can also help you expand APOLLO's crawlers and harvesters, so you can detect and catalogue new data formats that are normally not recognized by APOLLO.
